The season finale of The Wire was excellent. I'm now hooked on yet another show. The previews for Carnivale look intriguing also. I plan to check it out.

Post Jazzfest thoughts: As we sat in the Blues tent on Sunday watching Buddy Guy (an outstanding show BTW), I started thinking about how New Orleanians seem to revel in the blend of heat and music. I think it's comparable to those Green Bay Packers fans who love to watch their team play outside in sub-zero temperatures—or maybe not. I was so hot by that point that I was afraid I was going to dissolve like that senator in the first X-Men movie so it could just be overheated delirium on my part.
Anyway here's a list of what I would do if I were in charge of Jazzfest:

Don't get me wrong, I think Jazzfest is one of the best organized, greatest music bargains in the U.S. (if not the world). It doesn't hurt though to tweak things now and then to improve the experience, does it?

Tonight will be my last undergraduate class ever (unless if I go back for a 2nd BA which I'm told is a waste of time). I hope that I can now devote time to the things I'd like to do but haven't been able to find the time such as getting back in shape, writing, updating my website regularly, and maybe some freelance design work. Plus I need to keep the focus on the job hunt.

As my home page nears completion I'm finally getting a chance to post to my blog. The big news of course is my engagement to the lovely Daniella It's exciting and stressful at the same time. Of course we were able to do lots of destressing at Jazzfest. The highlight so far... Joe Cocker.
